Reporters Uncensored (RUTV) is a weekly Web TV series that covers the human stories behind crucial global issues not covered in the mainstream media.
Each week, RUTV streams video documentaries and clips from a global network of journalists who work with international news services, NGO's and production companies. Our reporters use emerging digital tools to create media that matters on a range of international current affairs and development issues, such as: climate change, global health, human rights, government corruption, and trafficking. Each week, guests "Skype" into the NY studio for thought provoking discussions. From the filmmaker in Tehran - to the teacher/ journalist in Kenya, they'll share how world developments are transforming the lives of ordinary people in their countries.
RUTV also promotes social action and covers social entrepreneurs. The series profiles how pragmatic visionaries use entrepreneurial strategies to create and manage initiatives for change. Whether it's a new invention, a different approach or creative use of technology, we'll report on how innovators measure success in terms of sustainable social change -- not on profit margins and rates of return.
Coming soon -- ReportersUncensored.com will be an online Hub for social innovators and a network people use to get involved in social movements. Tools and resources to inspire people to action will be added and updated on a regular basis.
Reporters Uncensored.com is nonpartisan and works with journalists in Africa, the Middle East, South America, the United States and Europe. It's producers are affiliated with Reporters Without Borders, Talk Radio News Service and PBS.
